How often do I need a teeth cleaning?
Even if you feel like you’re really good at brushing your teeth, you could still be missing spots without even realizing it. That’s why it’s important to come in for a teeth cleaning twice per year or once every six months. We will also use a special tool called a scaler to remove plaque and tartar.
Can anyone get dental implants?
Typically, dental implants are great restoration options if you are missing teeth, as they help prevent bone loss. For some people though, their bone density might already be too low, meaning their jawbone can’t support the implant.
If this is the case, bone grafting is a procedure that can be completed to restore the density level. Otherwise, if you are in good health, there’s a high chance a dental implant will be perfect for you.
What’s a dental emergency?
A dental emergency is typically something that causes pain or excessive bleeding. Another example would be a tooth that is knocked out. If you are ever unsure, please call us, and we’ll help you determine what your next step should be.
Do you see children?
Yes! We are a family dentist that sees patients of all ages.
I have tooth pain. What should I do?
If you’re experiencing any type of pain, aching, or swelling, it’s important to see us as soon as possible. Let us know what you’re experiencing, and we can use that information to decide if you need to come in immediately or if an appointment is more appropriate.
I can’t get off of work. How can I get an appointment?
Every Thursday, we open our doors at 7 a.m., so you can make an appointment for before you have to go to work that morning!
Is there anything else I can do to prevent cavities?
Brushing and flossing are always going to be your number one defense against decay, but some people might need a little extra help. We offer sealants for harder to reach areas or for those who are more prone to cavities.
How long will my teeth whitening results last?
That will all depend on how you keep up with your oral hygiene. If you brush your teeth well and stay away from food and drinks that stain your teeth, the effects of teeth whitening will last a lot longer.
